The Sunset Surf Hire/Demo Centre is the ideal destination for you to grab everything you need to get in the water and have fun!  We quite simply have THE best selection of Surfboards, Bodyboards, SUPs, Fins and Wetsuits available for hire or demo in Cornwall!

Our BSA approved and RNLI Surf Hire Safety Scheme registered Surf Hire/Demo Centre has an awesome selection of boards ranging from Soft Surfboards (such as those used in surf lessons), Soft-Top Surfboards (designed for intermediate/progressing surfers who want something more like a ‘real’ surfboard, whilst still maintaining the safety aspect of a Soft Surfboard), right through to Epoxy Take Off Surfboards and Surftech Demo Surfboards (see below for full list of boards!)

If you’re not quite ready for getting to your feet in the water, we also hire from an extensive range of bodyboards – with fins also available.  If you’re looking for something a little different we also have a range of Starboard Stand-Up Paddleboards to take out to play if it’s looking flat out there!

For those who’re looking for something a bit more technical, Sunset Surf are proud to announce the opening of the UK’s very first FCS Test Drive Centre to feature only Longboard and Retro Fins (see below for a full list of fins).  This unique selection allows you to try a completely different fin to what you might already be riding – feeling the difference and subtle nuances that a new set of fins can provide.  Who knows?  You might find yourself surfing better than ever with the smallest change!  Give your old board a new lease of life!  All the fins in our TDC are available as a 3 day hire for £15.

Using the very latest technology from Go-Pro, we’ve gone and got ourselves a Surf Hero waterproof digital video camera and mounted it on one of our demo boards!  At first it was just for us to muck about with, but after having so much fun with it, we’ve decided to share our new toy and put the board and camera out for hire as a package!  For a four hour session with the board (Take Off 9’1 Noserider), Surf Hero camera and your very own 2GB SD card to capture all those awesome waves your going to get, we’re asking the very reasonable price of £25!  And if you’re still not convinced, check out some of the footage we shot and posted on Magic Seaweed!

In addition to our range of boards, we also hire from over 300 C-Skins wetsuits – with wetsuit boots, gloves and headgear for those colder days!

Hire/Demo Centre Details:

* Half day hire is 4hrs from 10am

* Full day hire is 8hrs from 10am-6pm

* 24hrs is 24hrs from the nearest full hour

* Every hire requires the signature of an RNLI Surf Hire Safety Scheme disclaimer by an individual over the age of 16

* Every hire requires a security deposit to be left at the Sunset Surf Shop in the form of a credit/debit card or driving license

* Discounts are available for groups, students, members of the armed forces and for extended hires over 5 days – Just ask!
